I purchased a couch at wholesale for $499 + tax. When moving home, one of the legs fell off. It was a screw in design but the treading was completely stripped so I ended up using wood glue to keep it in place. Then, two days after bringing it home, the buttons on the upholstry started falling off. I've had the couch for ~1 week and 3 bottons have fallen off. The rest will undoubtably fall off as well. I spoke with the store manager and he informed me of the fine print (something they failed to mention as I was purchasing) stating all sales are ""as is"". I will end up taking it to an upholster. Just hope it doesn't cost too much.
