For the Adventurous (and Wealthy) 7/20/2010

Urasawa is the perfect spot for those adventurous foodies who are a) willing to eat anything and b) willing to pay just about anything for a dinning experience. And at Urasawa it really is an experience unlike any other. Reservations are required as only 10 guests can dine at a time. Seated around a sushi bar, it feels much more like an intimate dinner party than a restaurant. For a set price you get a 28 (I believe) course meal that varies every evening based on what ingredients they are able to procure, returning guests preferences, and whatever the chef is feeling like that day. No two meals here are the same but you can always be certain that you?ll be eating sushi unlike anything you?ve ever had before. Some of the high-end ingredients that make regular appearances include caviar, foie gras, and gold flakes. Not to mention the rare assortment of fish flown in directly from Japan. Be warned: once you dine here, you?ll have a hard time going back to any of your other sushi spots. more
