Sears Lawn and Garden 7/17/2010

In early 2009, I purchased some lawn equipment including, a backpack blower, a zero-turn 50 inch deck lawn mower along with other equipment. (I mention these because they were the MOST troublesome) they were all 2008 modles so fairly new items. I ended up breaking the pull cord on the blower (which happens over time). To my surprise they stop making replacement parts for the blower or anything that would substitute the part. So I ended up with a $300.00 piece of junk. Now it is July 2010 and Im having some of the same issues with the mower. How can they just stop selling the belts? The guy who was working at Sears the day I went to look for them said ""They are NOW selling the 52 inch deck mower, so they are making parts for this one"" What happens in 1-2 years when they start selling the 54 inch model do all those people who spent thousands of dollars buying mowers or blowers just throw their money away? Customer Service said ""They are very sorry but there is NOTHING they can do about it"". No solution was given .Their apology cost me $3500.00. Thanks alot Sears. Pros: They are well known and I believe the name is what sells. Cons: Selling equipment that they No longer make parts for more
