With all the cupcake and froyo places scattered throughout DC, it's kind of refreshing to see a spot that serves something different. And there's a reason why they call themselves Dangerously Delicious, because they're so good that it'll be hard to stay away. I find myself craving pies now, knowing there's a place to satiate that. I particularly love their Baltimore bomb: it's rich, chocolately, but not a typical chocolate pie-taste with it's crumbled cookie filling. The chocolate cream is also excellent, with a light, chocolate-mousse like filling topped with cream. Their strawberry-rhubarb is both sweet and tart and would go great with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. At $6.50-$7.50 a pop, these pie slices are pricier than other desserts, but the novelty of being the few cafes/bakeries that sell pie on the spot lets DD get away with that. I'm willing to cough up the money. It's darn good pie.
Pros: awesome sweet and savory pies, cool vibe, can buy whole pies
Cons: kind of pricey for a slice
