If you want a look back in time, or just want to see what the locals do the morning after, go to the Rainbow Cafe. It is getting harder and harder to find places that have not been subjected to Californication. I doubt this place has changed in the last fifty years. Take time to stop being critical and sit back in your chair, soak up the ambiance and feel the history that is all around. I had breakfast in the back and after a minute or two I felt like a local. The food is ok and the service genuine.
