I had an AHS warranty and they sent this company out to look at our hot water heater (our hot water was running brown and our hw heater was 13 years old). The tech said that the heater was fine and even called it a ""newer model"" (??) About an hour after he left, we heard water running in the walls and went to the attic to check the unit. It had a giant leak in the back seam and the drip tray was leaking so that water was all over our attic floor, dripping down the interior of our walls to the lower floors. Coincidental timing? Perhaps, but at best this guy didn't know what he was doing. Now we have to contend with water damage in addition to the expense of replacing the hot water heater.
