Despite the professional appearance of Avanti Skin Center of Denver and the title of ""skin center,"" customers should realize that they are not receiving medical care from a physician with formal training in the field of dermatology. The company should do a better job of making this perfectly clear. The OBGYN trained medical director does not take the proper precautions to ensure the safety of customers. In at least one instance a medical procedure nearly led to disastrous outcome for a customer because the precautions that a dermatologist does routinely was not followed. Remember that these procedures that Avanti passes off as minor can be extremely dangerous when the side effects are not considered by the physician. It is worth your money and time to find a physician that has several years of training in skin care, not a few weekend training sessions.
Also, remember to read and fully understand the consent form before doing any procedure. You could be signing your life away.
