Stephanie's Events & Adventures Review 7/24/2010

Coming out of a divorce, the last thing I wanted to do was “mingle”. In fact, all I wanted to do was go to work and come home. I guess it’s part of the whole grieving process when a marriage ends. My friends insisted I come along for karaoke night and before I knew it, I was laughing and having fun – and no one seemed to mind that I can’t carry a tune. Three hours earlier, I was convinced my life was over. The last thing I expected was to be looking forward to getting out more. Anyone who’s been through a divorce knows that feeling. The next day, I called the Atlanta Events & Adventures office and became a member. That was four months ago and I haven’t looked back. I look forward to everything I sign up for and I’m planning on being a part of this summer’s cruise. I look at it as a way to shed the whole “divorcee” label. I’ve met some great people and I’m going on my first post-divorce date next week. I have a lot to look forward to and it’s all because of my two best friends and, of course, the new friends I’ve met since joining Events & Adventures. Everyone I’ve met – from the other members to the staff members – are some of the most down to earth people I’ve ever met. Seriously – if it’s time to shake things up, give Events & Adventures a try. If your experience is anything like mine, you’re in for some good living. more
