When I called Matt, I had two pianos I needed moved: one a console, the other a baby grand. At first, we thought the console would be upstairs and the baby grand downstairs and he quoted me $395. As it turned out, the grand needed to go upstairs and the console downstairs. I called him to inform him of the change and asked him the new price. He asked me what he had quoted me in the first place (first red flag) and I told him. He then said, ""Oh, not that much more."" I asked, ""How much is not much more?"" He kept saying, ""Not much more. I'll need one more person to help me."" He never gave me a price. When he delivered the pianos, my brother-in-law was there (who had had no conversations with Matt and didn't know the quote). When my brother-in-law asked him how much we owed, Matt told him $595. I called Matt as soon as I heard this. I was very upset. He said he'd ""think about it"" and let me know if he'd give me back some of the money. Where I'm from, 50% of the original price does not constitute ""a little more"". Buyer beware. Pros: Timely Cons: Changed estimate more
