I really enjoy having a local Petco because of their size & variety of pets/pet supplies. However, I have had a few bad experiences at this specific store. The first being that I was scolded by a manager for checking the expiration date on a bag of pet food that I was buying. It seems like expired foods could be as dangerous for pets as they are for humans. Make sure that you check the dates at that store. Another time, there were literally 8 dead bettas & the water looked like it hadn't been changed in days. Lastly, they sell "painted glass fish" which are a see-through tetra that are artificially dyed to give them different colors such as pink, purple, and orange. They may be calling them by another name. Most of the dying methods are cruel and can cause serious side effects including a very short life span.
