For the last 12 years I’ve been in rape therapy and trying to recover from PTSD. Nothing at all could seem to curb the massive anxiety I had endured throughout that time. I had panic attacks that started when I woke up and lasted until bedtime. Depression and anxiety medications made me gain huge amounts of weight, and talk therapy can only do so much. I started my yoga practice with The Mat about 1.5 years ago, when they were owned by another company. Life became increasingly better the more I came. I continue to go 5x’s a week and that keeps the panic attacks away and has reduced my anxiety 90%. I’ve also lost 45 lbs, have no more backaches, look much better, and feel awesomely healthy and happy (finally)! When they changed ownership last year, I was scared it wouldn’t be the same. That is by far not the case. They’ve become even better. The owner is extremely devoted to The Mat, being that it’s the only studio she owns. I recommend this place to my friends all the time, and am now recommending it to you with all my heart. Give it a try. You wont be sorry!
