I had another mortgage company for over 5 years with no late payments, one day I got a notice in the mail from my mortgage.co, The Associates, saying that my new mortgage company would be 21st mortgage and I would nave to honor them just as I did with my original company and they said that 21st bought my mortgage from them. And that they appreciated doing business with me and I was a good customer. Well I've had 21 st for over 6 years now and I had some questions about them when they never sent any statements saying what my balance is or how much escrow is left over every year or their 1098 satements for the interest you pay every year for taxes is on a piece of paper and type out from a computer instead of the legal form it self. after 11 years of ontime payments I lost my job of 17 years and got behind on 2 payments and it was the most dramatic time of my life when dealing with them, they refuse to put my behind payments to the rear so I could get back on track and they refused any refinancing or any thing that would help me out, they refused to help with back payments and they finaly agrred to put some the extra money and apply it to the escrow payments that were behind but they refuse to put any payments to the rearrage, they call my house every day 2-3 times and cell phone and work phone till my boss threaten to call his attourney on them for harrassing their employee at work, then they backed off a bit, but they will hound you for the money instead of refinancing the loans , because they make lots of money from the very high interest rates and they do not want to lose that no matter what. I f you are behind more than 30 days they will hound you to all ends and days till you get caught back up, no lie one time they sent 5 registered letters and 5 regular letters all for the same late payment and all saying the same thing, my post office lady said that she delivers so many 21st mortgages notices out and they are the most unprofessional of all of them.
