Business / profit reasons seem often to be put ahead of safety concerns at West Valley. And there seems plenty of internal strife. WVFC calls itself and is supposed to be a non-profit, but in many ways operates like a for profit enterprise. It provides sales awards for its managers / sales people. Many new customers get quickly signed up, but drop out some relatively short time later. A recent job advertisement on Craig’s List for a ‘membership sales’ person, required the skill to “be able to sell snow to an Eskimo”. (Good for management, but perhaps not so good for the Eskimos?). \r

Their safety record was questionable. West Valley had 6 aircarft accidents in 2009 and 5 years of increases in accidents.\r

Pros: Pros: Large selection of mostly older aircraft
