New to the neighborhood and thought we'd try this local spot. Walking in, the room was warm (in the summer heat) and filled with banquet chairs at small tables. The menu only offered a handful of choices per day of the week. My husband got meatloaf with creole sauce and I got BBQ chicken. The meat was bland and overcooked in both dishes, and the sides were lukewarm and made from canned goods. This was very disappointing for a neighborhood full of local produce! We were too unimpressed to try the famous pie/pudding. The bill was $19 for lunch, and the food was no better than prison or cafeteria food. We will not be back!
Pros: speedy service
Cons: food, atmosphere, cleanliness
