I have a problem with my rear-projection TV...these fols say parts will be about $60 and labor (in store) is $300.
I did a little homework and found that this repair takes two chips that I have found locally for $18 each, and I can get them online for as lows as $12 with free shipping. I also found a TV repair man who will install the chips - in my home - for $100 and guarantees his work.
These folks are nice and they have been living off the fat of East Cobb for many years but I'd rather spend money on new equipment than pay triple the actual cost of a repair.
When I commented on the labor I was told it is an expensive TV and I'm paying for the knowledge and experience to fix it without causing further damage.
I think not.
Pros: been in business a long time
Cons: they charge double to triple for the work
