I am not normally inclined to comment on any online forum, however I have had such trying experiences when it comes to dentists, that I felt compelled to let people know when an excellent experience in patient satisfaction occurs.
I went to Dr. Meyer for a second opinion. I am a Sarasota resident, my friend lives in Naples and had highly recommended her. The dentist that I first went to had insisted on what seemed to me, to be a radical and expensive treatment for my dental problem.
I went to her office and was received cordially. I had a little bit of a wait, in which time I filled out the forms. I was kindly ushered into the exam room and received with a warm friendly smile and a hand shake by Dr. Meyer. She guided me into her consult room, we went over the x rays I had brought in.
After careful observation and discussion, she thoroughly explained to me in terms I could understand, exactly what was going on in my mouth and why the previous course of treatment that was recommended to me was indeed drastic. She never said anything derogatory about the dentist here in Sarasota.
We decided on the best course of treatment, and how it would be scheduled. She was completely willing to work with my financial situation and further more accommodated me the best she could because I was having to travel.
My experience with her has been excellent. I am almost done with my treatment now. My favorite thing about the treatment there is that she always tells me before hand what to expect, and is constantly aware of how I am ""doing"" during the entire procedure. Dr. Meyer and her staff are constantly tending to my comfort.
The reception at her office has been consistent in so many aspects such as professionalism, caring, gentleness, cleanliness, etc. Her office, and exam rooms are ""squeaky"" clean. Dr. Meyer is and will continue to be my dentist. I highly recommend her! She is worth every bit of the commute to Naples!
