I lived at Tuscany villas for over a year and had no problems while a tenant. I liked the small complex and the people that lived there. Almost everyone I talked to at the complex had issues and complained constantly, however, I was having a great experience while living there so I just pushed them away. There was a few robberies while living there to cars in the parking lot, the parking spaces were WAY too small and caused many problems, a crazy guy lived next door and was taken away to the loony bin by police and the list goes on. Once I moved out of the complex I could see the true colors of this company. They sent me a bill for almost $800 in fees upon moving out. They wanted to replace my carpet after only a year of living there and wanted me to pay for it. They said it smelled but I had MANY people visit while living there and NEVER had anyone complain including the manager. They also wanted to charge me $100 to clean the apartment when I spent 3 days cleaning and had pictures to prove it. I paid $650 in deposit which in the end was more than was due and they refused to use that to cover it. I contacted them constantly and never received a call back. Finally I was able to get a hold of the manager, which to my surprise was yet ANOTHER new manager (the third since we moved in). He had no idea what was going on and could provide no information or proof of these charges and services. He told me the previous manager no longer worked for the company but somehow she was signing all my bills being sent to my new address. This company is very sketchy and makes me wonder who is really running the place. The new manager working for Tuscany was actually the old maintenance guy that fixed our sink while we lived there. I'm starting to believe they pull people off the streets to work for them. DO NOT live at this complex and DO NOT give this company any of your money. I don't even want to know where all my money was going considering they have no records for ANYTHING while I was living there. They are not listed online and are not a part of the Better Business Bureau (which is who I turned them over to after all of these problems). But like I said, while living there I thought it was wonderful and now I am going through hell. They have no corporate information and no other person to contact other than the ONE person working in the TINY office. I have lived in over 10 apartments since I was 18 and have NEVER had a problem until now. It's been 4 months and it is still a battle in progress. BEWARE and BE CAREFUL is all I can say. I attached some pictures from when we moved out and somehow that is ""unacceptable"" and unclean...maybe I'm just crazy.
Pros: Large townhome, nice neighbors, cheaper rent
Cons: Everything else
