Important contact for homeowners- Carolina Restoration 6/12/2010

I had just finished remodeling my first home when I came home to my worst nightmare: water pouring out of my house. A water line in my second floor bathroom had burst and hundreds of gallons of water had ruined all of my new flooring. In addition, the water seeped into the ceilings of the rooms below. By the time I returned to my house to turn off the water supply, my garage ceiling had fallen and water was pouring from electrical outlets, lights and my garage door opener. My family and I spent the night calling the insurance company, Kemper, and vacuuming water from the carpet with a wet/dry vac in an attempt to mitigate the damage. The insurance company offered to send a crew right away but the water was off and we were already beginning the cleanup process, so I decided to wait until the morning. My agent phoned promptly at 8 am the next morning and gave me one of the most important contacts I would need as a homeowner: the number to Carolina Restoration. By 9 am, I had an entire crew in my house. They were taking photos of the damage, describing the dry-out process and beginning to remove all damaged materials. Every single person that worked that day was polite, courteous, professional and hard-working. The workers were careful not to disturb the other livable, undamaged rooms. They even made sure those rooms were clean before they left! They returned every day for 5 days to check the humidity in the rooms and to rearrange fans and dehumidifiers. Each day, they showed up on time, worked quickly and were polite guests in my home. After the drying process was complete, I began thinking about the restoration process. My prior experience with Carolina Restoration made choosing them a no-brainer! They worked directly with my agent to ensure every item lost was accounted for and every item put back into the home was up to code or better. The day the restoration began, two gentlemen showed up (on time!) to explain the process. Again, these employees were polite and professional. When I mentioned the inconvenience of an unusable garage, they said they would repair that room first. Despite the 90-degree heat, they got the room ready to use in less than two days! After inspecting their work in that area, I felt comfortable leaving the rest of my home in their hands. Now that the repairs are complete, I must say the house is more beautiful than ever! Carolina Restoration made a potentially devastating event tolerable and the repair process as pleasant as possible. They have high standards for their employees and that is reflected in the quality of work they do and the manner in which they do it. Every person was willing to work around my schedule and the project supervisors were willing to work with my agent directly to get the repair process started. The men who repaired my home were competent and committed to doing high-quality work. The supervisors were committed to ensuring the work was done well enough to satisfy a perfectionist. Most importantly, their work kept me from being committed! Because of my positive experiences with them, I plan to use Carolina Restoration for other upgrades to my home. They're not just a restoration company- they build homes, additions and major remodels. I am certain that work is of the same caliber. As a homeowner, it is important to find companies and individuals capable of doing work that improves the value of your home. Carolina Restoration is a company that deserves to be in every list of contacts. They will forever be in mine, though I hope I never have to call them for unexpected repairs again! Thank you, Carolina Restoration, for hiring high-quality employees and thanks to all of the employees who made my home beautiful again, One happy homeowner Pros: professional, top-notch work, courteous, polite more
