Beware of this company 5/25/2010

First, I'm not sure why RB42 thinks that just because he is happy with POA no one else has a right to complain about them. Just because he hasn't had a problem doesn't mean the company is good to work with. Apparently those of us who have been screwed by POA don't have a life if we attempt to warn others so that they don't get stuck in the same position. \r \r I contacted two people at POA one month before I thought our 3 year lease expired and notified them that we did not intend to renew our lease. All I was told was that our lease did not expire for another 3 months. I also told them the machine no longer worked and asked that it be picked up. The machine was not picked up, and nothing else was said, so two months later I contacted one of them again to have the machine picked up. At this time, I was informed that we should have mailed a letter of intent to the company that leases the machine. I'm still not sure who the leasing company is because the notice I get is signed from Pacific Office Automation, but the two people I have talked to claim it is a different company, not POA. I immediately mailed a letter of intent to the address I was given, but it was too late. Now the ""leasing company"" is demanding that we pay $8000 to not renew our lease or else renew our lease at a minimum cost of about $8000. I talk to someone at the ""leasing company,"" and he says I have a signed contract. I do not have a copy of the contract. I talk to someone at POA, and he states that it is my fault that I do not have a contract, all I had to do is ask for one. He also states that he was under no obligation to tell me that he was the wrong person to contact regarding not renewing my lease. He also blames the new leasing company for not telling me what I needed to do to not renew my lease with POA. Let me be perfectly clear: I am not even talking about breaking a lease; I am talking about not renewing a lease. I paid POA over $30,000 over the last 3 years, but that isn't enough for them. No one will take responsibility for not pointing me in the right direction even though they clearly knew what my intent was. I own a small, struggling business, and $8000 could put me out of business, but POA doesn't care. They will take no responsibility for withholding vital information from me that is going to cost me $8000 and possibly my business. Pros: absolutely none Cons: deceitful practices; terrible customer service more
