I choose Dr Ross because she seemed creditable and female. I was feeling depressed about my skin and not understanding the cause of my skin condition. It appeared to me that I had developed some sort of rash that I never had before. When I arrived on time the office staff was very cold and not friendly. When Dr. Ross began to examine me she took a sample of skin (a scraping of skin) to have examined. She said she knew I was cold and gave me a gown to wrap-up in while she was out of the examination room. She seemed understanding and kind at this point. Dr. Ross returned with a male doctor while I was undressed. I choose Dr. Ross because I was comfortable with female doctors! Dr. Ross DID NOT GET MY PERMISSION TO BRING IN ANY MALE DURING MY EXAMINATION. The male doctor told me who he was and WITHOUT MY PERMISSION began scraping my skin and discussed with Dr. Ross my possible skin condition, as if I was not in the room! I interrupted the doctors and asked Dr. Ross what was my possible condition. She said to me that she would be right back and left with the male doctor. She returned in about 10 minutes. At this point I began to cry and was very nervous when she returned. Dr. Ross was very unresponsive to telling me was my skin condition. Her answer was I have 15 different color of skin. I am mixed with East Indian and Irish. Then I proceeded to explain to her that a friend of mind had almost the same skin condition and gave me a prescribed skin cream that had worked very well for my skin problem. Dr. Ross told me that the skin cream I had was for ""white people only"" when their skin get discoloration like my, with dark spots. She continued to say, ""we don't want anymore Michael Jacksons now, God rest his sole"". I told her I was not trying to be like Michael Jackson, I just wanted my skin return back healthy. I was very shock and sad that a doctor said that to me. She continued talking about people using petroleum jelly on their skin and suggested that I should not use expensive products on my skin because of perfumes in them and I should use ""cheap"" products-they don't have perfumes in them and a lot better for me. Then she just wrote me a prescription for an antibiotic and told me to come back in one month. I felt much worse then, than before coming to this doctor appointment. I refuse to use this prescription from this doctor and I will never come back here. Further, I will never recommend this doctor or this clinic to my worse enemy. Dr. Ross' advertisement should say ""MINORITIES NOT WELCOME"". A person should not go to a doctor and not get an answer to a medical condition and then get denigrated to the point of shame.
