Had recently moved from CT to CA and was looking for a good veterinarian. He, along with most vets in my area have walk-in so you can hit a good day/time and get seen right away or you might be 8th in the waiting room. (Never heard of such a thing on the East Coast.) Van Buren Animal Hospital was recommended to me by three people. Took my 10 year-old 80 lb. Golden Retriever for check-up and heartworm testing. Dr. was nice but he was foreign and very difficult to understand. They have the elevated stainless steel platforms as other vets have for your animal to be examined on. What I didn't like is the Dr. picked up my dog's front feet and placed them on the side of the elevated examination table and then basically grabbed his hind quarters and attempted to lift him onto the slippery stainless steel platform about 4 feet high. My dog's front legs started sliding and he got scared and when the vet went to lift him it ended up that he grabbed his legs and backside somehow and, the doc
