I recently recommend a relative of mine to purchase carpet and linoleum for their house from Mike and Sterlings. I made this recommendation based upon my previous favorable experience with them. This latest experience has turned out to be less than satisfying to say the least. First the purchase included tear-out and installation. The linoleum guy was suppose to remove the old flooring (as per the billing) but instead just laid thin set over the old floor. I brought this too the salesman's attention and he didn't think it was too much of an issue. Next the linoleum installer did a very poor job of coving the floor under the cabinets and threw his scraps in the heating vents. That plus he didn't hook the toilet supply back tight so I had to mop up a sizable water leak. One last thing on the linoleum installer, he was very unreliable with his schedule and on three occasions had incredible fabricated stories of why he could be there that day. The carpet guys where no better, they left metal scraps from the transition strips all over, and one was even found under the carpet and pad. This left a distinct bulge in the carpet which the had to pull up to remove the pieces. Mike and Sterlings does have a very nice showroom however don't judge this book by its cover.
Pros: Nice Showroom,
Cons: Poor Service, poor installation
