In addition to the Medical Clinic of Houston having lost one of my front teeth during an EGD performed by Dr. Aparna Kulkarni at the Medical Center Endoscopy, which due to the status of the tooth will cost close to $5,000.00 to replace, the Clinic is making me pay $94.00 to transfer my medical records to my new physician. This is the quality of service and responsible reaction to be expected of the Clinic and its doctors. The tooth was found missing as soon as I woke up from the anesthesia. The personnel looked for it before my leaving. I checked consecutive stools for several days and X-rays were performed to make sure it had not lodged somewhere along the digestive tract. I cannot be a patient of an organization that does not accept responsibility for its actions. My primary care physician, Dr. Karen Hoermann, never responded to my complaint.
