I from a large West Indian family and in my family we do alot of cooking and because there are more females than there are mailes Mother's Day is the one day we take pride in not standing over the heat. Luz Restaurant gave us comfort and confirmation that it's safe to do that sometimes that there are restaurants I can trust with my family's tummy at times like this. Luz Restaurant provided us with a great variety of comfort food on their menu, not only was the food great tasting the presentation of the food was welcoming to the eyes which made it even better in introducing the younger kids to try some new things! Their Banana pancakes with the dark rum soaked bananas were excellent, the Salmon Ahumado omelet was near perfect. What each of us had left over because we had enough of that dish went around the table for the others to try because we each raved about it. By the time we left everyone's plate were empty. It was an excellent experience not only for the family's most experienced cook (my very beautiful but excellent cook 78 yr old mother) but for the whole family even down to the 6yr old fussy eating grand-niece. I couldn't have made a better choice for the occasion (even my big brother agreed!) TRY IT !!!
