If you do, and you live in or are headed to Baltimore, make a point to have breakfast/brunch at Blue Moon Cafe. I ordered/devoured the Huevos Rancheros. Two made-to-your-liking eggs, on corn tortillas with fantastic chorizo, accompanied by a really terrific spicy green chile sauce. My girlfriend ordered the Cap'n Crunch french toast and novelty aside, the Cap'n Crunch actually provides an excellent compliment to the french toast. I'm not a big fan of the Cap'n, but I liked the flavor combination quite a bit. The sausage, though, was where it was truly at. Really delicious, just the right amount of spice, high quality meat (oxymoron as that may be for sausage).
Now, everyone mentions the wait and the service. If you plan on bringing your sense of entitlement here, perhaps you should go find yourself a table at the nearest Panera Bread. Yes, you will have to wait for a table. No, if you come in a half hour after their posted closing time, you are likely not going to be seated. This is how it works. It's a ten table cafe. If you have to wait an hour, guess what? You have to wait. It's worth the wait. The food is delicious. The staff is great if you have a sense of humor and don't expect to be treated like the king/queen that you are not. Long story long, if you enjoy good food served by good folks in cozy quarters, there's a table for you here. And if you have to wait for that table, so be it. Trust me, it'll be worth the wait.
