I have been to Dr Abboud twice now. The first time I went in I recieved Radiesse in the cheeks and botox on my forehead. Dr. Abboud is very good about only recommending what products you actually need and which products are the best for you. I went in wanting Juvederm for my cheeks and he actually recommended Radiesse because it has a longer lasting effect. He has a great technique and it was not painful. He then told me to return in two weeks for a follow up to see how I looked once the swelling went down from the Radiesse. I went back in two weeks and it ended up that I needed some touch ups in the cheeks. He touched up my cheeks at no charge. I then decided to have my tear troughs filled with Juvederm. He had recommended that on the first visit, but I wanted to wait it out to see how my cheeks looked first. I discussed with Dr. Abboud about reviews that I read all over the US about women not being happy with Juvederm in the tear troughs and they appeared to have bags afterwards. Dr. Abboud quickly gave me a answer saying that when Juvederm is not applied under the muscle it can cause bags. He stated that if you want to go superficial under the eyes Juvederm is not the product. I felt at ease because of course these reviews do not state the explanation for the bags. He then applied the Juvederm with NO pain in my tear trough's and under my eyes. I was then worried about creases and he assured me to wait because he doesnt want to overfill. He is great about making you feel reassured. I used ice packs as he stated and I had severe swelling for 2 days. Its day 4 now and most of the swelling is gone. I am waiting for full results at 7 days, because that is when I noticed the swelling completely went down after the Radiesse. Do not do this procedure if you are going to a event or somewhere important. I would recommend doing this about 3 weeks to a month prior to a event or a important outing. The reason that I say this is because swelling takes a good 7 days to go down and then if you should need a touch up you will need another week or two to recover.
