At all costs, if you care about your pet, do not go to the Animal Specialty Center in Yonkers. Especially avoid Dr. Richard Joseph, who violated the standard procedures regarding administration of anesthesia. Despite telling me not to give my dog any water or food 12 hours before the procedure, Dr. Joseph's staff violated this rule and gave my dog water just before administering general anesthesia. After my dog died as a result, Dr. Joseph denied everything. I went to the NYS Office of Professions to complain, but they did nothing. They're all in bed together, and NYS doesn't want anyone knowing that they hand out licenses like it's free candy. Then they don't investigate legitimate complaints because everyone would then know how corrupt the whole system is. Dr. Joseph is a lying, sniveling loser who hides behind his degree and white coat. If your veterinarian ever refers you to these quacks, go get another veterinarian!! This was the most heartbreaking, horrible experience we've ever had in 45 years of dog ownership.
Cons: They killed my dog and then lied about it!!!!
