I noticed a bug on the pillow when I first entered the room. Having never seen a bed bug, nor thinking they are big enough to see easily, I disposed of it. On Sunday, another bug. I squished it, and it was full of blood. Still I did not identify it. The next morning the itchy welts began appearing on my neck, stomach, arm, and leg. My concern is that I may have brought them home in my luggage, and will now have to have the house inspected to have peace of mind. The General Manager was not sympathetic, claimed no responsibility, nor offered any compensation for my distress or expense. I reported to the Onondaga County Dept. of Health. I understand this is a growing problem in hotels, dorms, and apartment buildings. Travelers--be forewarned and take precautions and report every suspicion. Save every bug you see!
