So, I ventured away from the Texas Crawfish Festival after an afternoon of debauchery and rabble rousing and stumbled upon this little joint in an attempt to find my hotel. I was pleased to see some great old school country music, and figured I'd go ahead and hang out for a bit.
Shortly after, the owner accosted me and insisted that I leave the bar since I had been at the crawfish festival. I was confused... I explained to the owner that I was not doing any more rabble rousing for the day and that his music was refreshing. I then started to name drop all my country friends in the area, hoping that him knowing that my friends had played in his bar would somehow ease the tension and he'd let me hang out.
This was ineffective.
He bought me a beer, called me a cab, and sent me on my way. The cab wanted $13 to drive about a quarter mile over on Louetta... I paid him $10. He was satisfied.
It was an overall good experience and I'll probably be back next time I'm wandering home in a drunken haze from the crawfish festival... maybe even before that.
I'm no rabble rouser.
