I used to go to Gary many years ago when he owned a Sunoco Station, but I stopped going to his shop as it became less convenient for me to do so. In the past couple of years, since he has opened Wilsons Service Center, I have been using his service regularly.
I think Gary is one of the first mechanics I have used over the last thirty years who I feel provides personal service when discussing my car. He knows your car and he wants to take care of it. You can talk to him in detail and he will not hide anything. And, he does what needs to be done; no more, no less.
Ideally, I would prefer to receive status updates late in the day, but I understand he is busy and his staff is limited, so that is tough to do. But that is my only point of criticism and I realize he is doing his best. He even has his wife working there, and she will sometimes call to update me if, for instance, a part is late in arriving.
Overall, the quality of Gary's work is great and I have never had a problem with his service. If there is a minor problem, he will take care of it right away. He is good with people and that is important with auto repair. Also, I own two old cars and if it wasn't for Gary, I would not be able to maintain them. So I really depend on him to keep my cars running. I will continue to go with him even if I have to move out of the area because I think he is a good, honest automobile mechanic.
