the two stars are for the records because honestly they usually have a pretty nice selection of stuff quality stuff. at least they used to before i decided i could no longer support that store. the customer service is horrendous. this is coming from somebody who believes that the customer is wrong more often than not. mark has his good days but can sometimes be pretty snide. also, don't go in when he is on the phone or you will be waiting a loooong time. the irony is that they have a no cell phone sign in the window. dan is admittedly pretty cool and friendly. there's one girl who works there (or used to) every once in a while who very rudely refused to put on a record that i wanted to hear. there was a used record that i was interested in hearing and asked her if i could hear it quick in the time between when she was switching her records. she acted very offended and told me ""no, we don't do that here."" i've worked at multiple record stores where that's been standard practice and i'm more than happy to put something on for somebody. i could go on and on with my bad experiences and horror stories that i've heard....in short, this place has good records and i know i'm missing out on some finds but i just can't bring myself to spend my money there and support this store. they also do charge fees for tickets now (as do most places...just updating the other review) and watch out for the huge laundry list of ludicrous rules behind the counter.
Pros: tons of new and used vinyl, unique stuff
Cons: rude staff
