After seeing a movie at the Bergenfield theater,I was hungry, so I ventured out for a place to eat. Two doors down from the theater there was a nice looking restaurant so I went in. I asked the waiter what kind of food they served and he told me Mexican. Since I am a big fan of Mexican I asked for a menu. I looked over the menu and came across an item called Tacos Mexicano. The menu described it as ""Corn tortilla topped with grilled steak, chicken, chorizo or carnitas, fresh tomatoes, an cilantro, served with black beans and guacamole."" Sounded yummy so I ordered it with the grilled steak to go. Serveral minutes later the waiter brought out the order. I paid the waiter for the order which came to nearly $14. \r \r The first thing I noticed was the bag seemed a bit light which was odd for $14 of food. I got in my car and proceeded to drive home, about five miles from the restaurant. As I was driving I didn't notice any aroma coming from the bag, which was unusual for Mexican food. I few minutes later I arrived at home and proceeded to open the bag. \r \r The bag contained a paper bag with chips, three small styrofoam cups and an aluminum container. I proceeded to open the styrofoam cups. One cup was filled with salsa, one contained a very small amount (about 5 Tbs.) of guacamole, and the third one contained a very small amount (about 5 Tbs.) of black beans. How stingy can you get. I then proceeed to open the aluminum container which contained three tacos. They did not look or smell appetizing. The steak looked like, the only way I can describe it, meat pebbles. There was no aroma what so ever coming from the tacos. Being very hungry, I proceeded to eat one of the tacos which turned out to be completely flavorless. I couldn't even finish one taco. So I decided to pack up the overpriced, tastless, skimpy meal and return it to the restaurant for a refund. \r \r When I got to the restaurant, I went to the waiter that helped me earlier. I explained the situation to him and asked if I could get a refund. He asked me to wait a minute while he got the owner. The owner asked me what the problem was and I explained that the food did not have any taste and I wanted a refund. He gave me a hard time and told me I was the first person to ever complain in the 4 years the restaurant has been in business. I highly doubt that. He threw out the food and walked away. I followed him and asked if he intended to give me my refund. After a bit of resistance he finally refunded my money. He then told me that Burger King was just down the road to which I replied ""That would be a definite improvement"". Pros: Nice Ambiance Cons: Tastless food, Bad service more
