We were celebrating my daughters 16th birthday, and LaCaille is one of her favorite restaurants. Since it is quite expensive, we don't go often. But turning 16 is a big deal, and so I called and made a reservation for Sunday night. When we arrived, aniticpating ordering our favorite appetizers, entrees and desserts, we were told on Sundays they have a set menu, served family style. What a disappointment! Had I been told about the set menu and family style service when I made the reservation, we would have dined elsewhere. And, to make matters worse, the food was not nearly as good as what we order off the regular menu. The prime rib was fine, but it should have been more than just ""fine"". And the salmon was nearly inedible. The miso glaze was gritty and the salmon was the fishiest fish I have ever tasted...\r
The service that night was also not what we have come to expect at LaCallie. Overly prompt is the best way to describe it. \r
Overall, it was a HUGE disappointment. We will probably go back, since we have had great experiences there before, but NEVER on a Sunday night!
