When I went into Maxwell Dog with my cousin who got a new puppy to get some unique items, the staff was helpful & knowledgeable in the over well health for the dog. When I mentioned to my cousin she didn't need to buy a particular item since I already had the same item at home she could have for free, the sales person stepped in and tried to down play the item I had and that she should have her own.
On the flip side, they had specialty items and pamphlets that gave knowledge on dog health I didn't know about. All of the items they sell are organic and for the most part wheat free, but the prices are higher than if you were to buy that same item at Petco or PetSmart.
I did end up leaving with a HUGE plush dog toy for my bulldog, even though it was kind of expensive....My dog is worth it! :)
