MAMA MIA'S RISTORANTE 4/21/2010

I had heard really wonderful things about this new Italian restaurant with incredible pizza so I thought that as a treat I would take my 4 yr old daughter for some Authentic Italian food. Imagine my disappointment when we arrived at the Restaurant only to be discouraged from eating there. When we asked to be seated we were COLDLY informed ""NO by the server no explaination just ""NO"" as he stared at us as though we were something unpleasant that he stepped on. Obviously I thought I misunderstood because the dining room was completely empty and might have not been opened yet even though it was 6pm on a Tues. Eventually a woman came over, I am assuming was the Mananger and she informed me that this was a ""FINE DINING"" restaurant & there was no childrens menu but we were more than welcome to order ""TAKE OUT"" from the casual dining menu as if we would not be able to afford the prices. I will tell you as a server in a high end restaurant I was appalled at the attitude & distain from this establishment especaily in this economy when people are EXTREMLY particular where they spend their money, new business struggling to survive and with empty dining room they should have been begging us to stay instead of discouraging us. If I or any other employee in my Restaurant was ever to treat a guest like that we would be immediatly terminated so you can be sure that I have passed this experience on to the other parents at my daughter's school as well as my friends and family. While the Pizza might be delicious and the decor beautiful...You are better off going to an Olive Garden or GODFATHER'S. where they welcome you with a smile and are happy to serve you. I will never go attempt to eat there again Casual take out or otherwise! Cons: VERY DISAPPOINTED more
