I came home and saw that my dog had a fairly severe eye injury. I brought her to my vet, but he was gone for the day and the staff referred me to the emergency vet. I have lots of experience with vets and, unfortunately, have had to see er vets in other areas before. They wouldn't even see my dog until I agreed to cough up a $108.00 fee upfront, then agree to pay cash upfront for any other charges that might occur. I didn't have enough money, so they said, :""Well, she might lose her eye, but if you can't pay, take her to your vet in the morning."" Thankfully, her eye is fine and she didn't need vet care, but good luck to the pet owners of Duluth if anything happens to their beloved pets.
Also, they do cremations there...saw all of the boxes there on the front desk. I guess they can make even more money if they can euthanize your pet while you are there.
