M husband is a professional landscaper and was working a job that purchased 5 pallets of sod from the Don's Grass in Marble Falls (this was yesterday (04/23/10). When it was delivered it was all so dead that it couldn't be picked up, it was a pile of chunks of dirt with dead grass attached. When Don's was called the woman that answered was VERY rude about the situation and didn't understand why a professional landscaper wouldn't accept subpar grass for a lawn he was installing. After several phone calls and finally agreeing to send someone out, a Don's rep came out to see the pile of what they called grass. Even he was shocked. They sent new grass today (04/24/10) but the fact that a grass company would let that type of (beyond dead) grass go out is ridiculous, and then to provide such horrible customer service made it even worse. In this economy, customer service is even more important. Hopefully losing our business to another company will teach them that.
Pros: They're cheap.... for a reason...
Cons: From this experience? EVERYthing!
