I've lived at Tunlaw Gardens for two years. It's an old art deco apartment building, and that was the charm for me, but be warned -- they raised my rent $101 per month after the first year. This was after telling me that rents were usually raised only $20-$50/month when I signed up for the apartment. Also, the leasing office is incomprehensibly draconian about small things, like leaving one pair of shoes outside your door or having flowers on the windowsill. Additionally, it's difficult to find quick transportation on the weekends. The D2/D1 is fine for getting to work, but if you have anywhere to be quick on the weekends, you need a car. And finding parking is a bitch.
Pros: Art deco style, old school charm
Cons: Raised my rent $101/month after the first year
