Granted, we had a really large party (21 people), but we had a prix fixe menu, and we knew ahead of time that 20% gratuity would be included with such a large group. That gives no reason to not give, at best, minimal customer service. On more than one occasion, the server that was assigned to us mouthed off and back-talked to specific members of our party, at random, and only in response to us asking her about our food status - a pretty reasonable question, in my opinion. Incidentally, it took about 40 minutes to serve our appetizers, and they did not offer bread. The food was decent - very tasty and good portion sizes. Dessert was delicious. The actual restaurant is beautiful and the city view is amazing. But a nice dinner can so very easily be ruined by horrible customer service - let's just say it does not apply vice versa. If for some reason at a restaurant the food is only mediocre yet the service is superb, the service alone can elevate the experience that much more. Ravel's Rooftop staff has a lot to learn.
Pros: Amazing ambience, great views, decent food
Cons: Atrocious and nasty customer service
