ATT: HOME DEPOT CORPORATE\r
I normally don?t write reviews like this but it?s high time this story is told. The Home Depot in Geneva, IL has been here 12+ years. I remember shopping there when they first opened and it quickly became my favorite store. Menards was just down the road and although Home Depot wasn?t always the lowest price, I felt that their knowledgeable staff was well worth the money. So many times I walked back to my car with a real feeling of empowerment ? I?m somewhat handy and with their expertise, there was almost nothing I couldn?t handle for my new house.\r
How times have changed?..\r
Yesterday, March 9, 2010 at around 8PM I walked in to my neighborhood Home Depot. The store was dead but there were plenty of associates standing around and lounging throughout the store, in groups, laughing and conversing etc. In fact, I noticed more orange aprons than consumers as I walked back to the electrical isle. At least 3 pairs of eyes fell on me as I walked past
