Attentive Listening... 3/5/2010

The first time I took my chicken to these people they were very expensive. I told them that he just needed some antibiotics. I calculated 50 for the 1st time visit, 25 for the antibiotics. They charged me $210 or so. Half of this was for him being in an oxygen tank. I don't know what this looks like but it sounds like it would only scare the chicken. He was breathing regular air before and after the visit... I don't see the need. They were understanding and only took half the money. Next time I was unemployed and begged and pleaded. They only charged me for medication which was very nice. I was VERY grateful. But unfortunately the chicken died. This time I go in w/ a mean chicken that's not so much a pet... and I have to fight to get the secretary's attention... then I tell them that he has heart and lung problems. I just wanted them to hear him breathe and give some antibiotics. I also tell them I don't even have 50 dollars for a visit and they say ""oh you don't have to pay"". I told them I only have about 30 bucks total for antibiotics and they said ""you don't have to pay though..."" so I said ""wow thanks!!!"" and was about to come home to write my own good review about them here...\r \r The doctor calls me saying the problems in the heart... not just the lungs... I told her I knew and she was surprised. The doctor tells me several times in a very firm tone ""There IS NO medication for birds with arithmea"". Just vitamins...\r \r I go back to pick him up and pay for his antibiotics... they give me a $130 bill. I said I only have 30 for antibiotics and I am still unemployed. She tried to take my 30 and I said I only have 20 with me. She told me to pay the 20 and come back with the balance. So they took the few bucks I had for antibiotics and gave me nothing but a bill for $110. I don't have money for my pets food right now and I had to ask a friend for discounted antibiotics.\r \r If the nurse didn't have her head up her behind this wouldn't happen.\r \r They need to listen and analyze what the customer has to say especially if they plan on digging deep in their empty pockets... Pros: One time they listened to my concerns and helped me. Cons: One time they didn't listen to my concerns and jacked me. more
