Scalding Hot Food 3/13/2010

Although it was very easy to get a reservation, and the maitre d was friendly, overall it rates in one of our top 10 worst dining experiences. The place was empty and next to us was the most annoying couple. They were so loud and pompous that my husband and I could barely talk. They were going on and on about traveling through Europe and how amazing the food was that I should of known right there, the restaurant would suck. I ordered soup and when it came the waiter did warn me it was hot. So I waited about five minutes for it to cool, and it was still scalding hot. I tried to eat it but burned my toungue several times. I finally had to tell the waiter (after we waited 20 minutes and it still didn't cool) that just to bring my entree. Then the entree came and I joked it would be too hot. Well sure enough it was also insanely hot. By this time I was starving. After another 20 minutes I could eat the top layer of my entree. We didn't even stick around to try desert and they did take the soup off our check, but only because I told them I could never eat it. We wished Tom Collichio was present to tell the chef to pack his knives and go home and I dreamed about throwing my scalding hot soup on the pompus douchebags next to us that wouldn't shut up. If you want good french food, go to Lulu's Cafe in Laguna Hills instead. Pros: Good parking, no wait Cons: Hot food and annoying patrons more
