I've been here twice. The fist time I had dinner and the experience was not great. The pizza, the mac and cheese, and even the salad lacked flavor.
Last night I came to Barceluna again. I sat at the bar and ordered dessert - and the place was PERFECT for this. They also have absinthe and a full bar with a good wine selection. The bartender was really cool, even when my internet date tipped $2 on a $40 bill. (Yeah, I went back and fixed it.) He was attentive, and didn't seem overwhelmed.
I also saw the chef come out and hand-deliver orders to the other customers - which I thought was cool.
I think I will go back and try the food again. It's definitely a 5-star atmosphere (dim lighting, fancy tapas style), and again...the dessert is really good.
Pros: delicious desserts, understanding bartender
Cons: saltless food
