I have had a couple of alterations done here that were, quite frankly, amateurish. I finally realized that the woman who does alterations (who is extremely nice) uses a very old sewing machine that only does a straight stitch. So if you have a knit that should be hemmed with a serger, take it somewhere else. She only can do hand-stitching or straight stitches on a machine. The other ladies in the cleaners are not particularly friendly. They have hung up the phone without saying ""goodbye"" or ""thank you"" or anything. And I have been made to feel like I had done something wrong if I ask for something to be ready on a certain day. I guess there just isn't much competition so they don't have to be kind to customers.
