The 11-week old puppy that we bought at Raising Rover had giardia!!! which is an intestinal protozoan infection which causes diarrhea and which can be transmitted to humans. Imagine my horror when I found out since I have three young children. I called the vet who cared for the store's puppies and was informed by the office that the store had been treating the puppies for the infection. I then called the saleswoman, Jen who sold me the puppy and she denied any knowledge of an infection. I'm not sure who to believe, but I suggested that she inform whomever had purchased the two puppies that had been housed with our puppy that their puppies may have acquired giardia. She said she would ""look into it."" \r

If you're thinking about getting a puppy from there, think again. If you've already purchased one from there, have the stool tested more often; the parasite/cysts may not be present in every stool.
Cons: Puppies have parasites
