Comic book stores often get a pretty bad rap in the average person's mind, but this store defies all of the negative stereotypes. It's clean, well-lit, and family-friendly. I'm not the least bit embarrassed to bring my girlfriend along (or even my mother!), or anyone I know who isn't a fellow comics-fan.
The staff is pretty knowledgeable, and even if there's some trivia one of them doesn't know, they're happy to talk about it with you. They also have a pretty good reputation for not being too speculator-friendly - in other words, they never hoard stuff in order to sell it for exorbitant prices later. Back in the Pokemon craze, they'd set limits on how many packs customers could by to try to make sure there was more to go around for everyone even though they could easily have charged 5 times as much and sold the whole batch to one wealthy customer.
There are really no negatives I can recall from my 10+ years of patronizing this store. At worst, they're occasionally sold out of certain titles, but they're always happy to put in a special order for no additional charge whatsoever - all I have to do is leave my name and number and they call me back in a week or two when the book comes in! They also have subscriptions available that come with a 10% discount on any books from your pull-list. This would save me money, but I almost always use the extra cash to buy more books.
They're really well-stocked in both the comics and games department, and anything that isn't on display in the store is probably something they can order for you. I just wish there were places like this everywhere - maybe then the Simpsons ""Comic-Book Guy"" stereotype wouldn't have flourished!
Pros: Great selection, friendly staff, clean store
Cons: Not every comic store is like this place
