I have been a customer of Charlies for many years.
20 years ago, just prior to joining the Army, Chuck made a fly rod for me from a blank I purchased from him. While fishing in Washington State for Salmon I broke off the rod tip. I called him and he told me to send it back to him. Two weeks later I was back on the river with a new rod. He only charged me for the shipping cost. When ever I returned to NM to fish the San Juan, Chuck always went out of his way to give suggestions and assistance. He is very helpful and never in a hurry to push you off if you have a question.
You can go to bigger stores but you wont find the same home town, know you by name customer service as I have experienced for many years. I am back in ABQ again and I won't give anyone else my business.
Pros: Fly Fishing Dept. is outstanding.
