I have been an athlete my whole life (basketball, soccer & tennis) which caused parts of my body to be very stiff. I am also a very tall girl & grew up insecure about my height which lead to poor posture and back pain(spending lots of time on the computer doesn't help either).\r

I've done yoga at 24 hour fitness & the donation yoga classes in Santa Monica my experience at The Yurt was nothing like those classes - it was educational! The other classes are more of a ""work out"" while my class with Michelle was really a class about my body and how to use it in everyday life. She would come around to move my body in the correct position. I also found the breathe work and the ability to reach a state of meditation very helpful for someone like me that is always stressed. I'm hooked after my first class and look forward to continue working on my posture and easing my back pains.
