The second time I took my dog in was for a nail clipping ( which requires sedation ) I was charged for a full exam ( $48 ) even though she just had one at that very clinic, with that very same vet about a month earlier. The exam consists of the vet feeling her neck and takes about 15-20 seconds. Again, $48.00. I had made an appointment for 10am but apparently they took a walk in ahead of me and I had to wait till 11am just to get into the examination room. Then, had to wait another hour+ to get the sedation started. I came in at 10am and didn't leave till 2:30pm. Also, after sedation my dog was still a little cognizant but relaxed enough to get her nails clipped, which I had to suggest as the vet wanted to give her an IV which would have carried additional cost and more importantly--wasn't necessary. You folks need me to tell you this, my second lifetime visit to a vet? Today I called in at 10am with a serious issue as my dog had been not eating well and acting lethargic for a couple of days. I got the answering machine which prompted that they were with patients and to leave a message, they would call back. I left a message and said it was somewhat urgent, I would like to come in that day. After hearing nothing back, at about 2pm I called them! The woman that answered said she had just got to work and hadn't heard or seen anything about my call. I Think, basically, that they're overbooking, overcharging and not really being responsive. Pros: Vet Nathanson seemed pretty knowledgeable Cons: Kept waiting for hours w/appt, filthy facilites, overcharge more
