VERY BAD experience with mt. scott funeral home. In november my mother passed away, she lived only four blocks away from funeral home and due to her wishes we contacted mt. scott (never again).Started off with the one man almost dropped her going down the front steps, then my sister followed the van instead of taking her 4 blocks they were headed to pick up more body and to stack them in the van(very impersonel). Then we set up the viewing we told them she never wore make up so we didn't want her all painted up so instead they left her pasty grey (they could of at least apply a flesh tone)At the funneral the director was to give the priest a ride to the cemetary but they left him at the church (the family found him and gave him a ride) Gets better, I was so emotional I did not go back to the cemetary until just the other day and found out the funneral home put the wrong year on the head stone, when the mistake was noticed we contacted the funneral home they said they don't keep those records????why not??? so we contacted the cemetary (willamette national) they had the copy of the paper work sent to them by the funeral home were the funeral home had summitted the wrong year.If you are considering using this funneral home I would say don't. All of our loved one deserve better!!!!! It was Greg that took care of us.
Pros: close and family run
Cons: employee and procedures
